• The Commission consists of thirteen members.
• One member is appointed by each of the eight municipalities within our jurisdiction.
• The Province of New Brunswick’s Minister of Environment and Local Government appoints up
to four members for the unincorporated areas.
• One member is appointed to represent the two First Nations within the Valley Region.
• As per the New Brunswick’s Clean Environment Act, the term of office of a member of a
regional solid waste commission is three years.
