About Us
The Valley Solid Waste Commission is responsible for planning and managing solid waste programs in Carleton and Victoria Counties.



Your Representatives
Commission members are appointed to represent the public of Carleton and Victoria Counties



Jurisdiction
The Valley Region is located on the North Western side of the Province of New Brunswick along the beautiful Saint John River Valley.


 

             Your representative to the Solid Waste Commission

The Commission consists of thirteen members. One member is appointed by each of the eight municipalities within our jurisdiction. The Province of New Brunswick’s Minister of Environment and Local Government appoints up to four members for the unincorporated areas. One member is appointed to represent the two First Nations within the Valley Region.

As per the New Brunswick’s Clean Environment Act, the term of office of a member of a regional solid waste commission is three years.
