  TRANSFER STATION

Recycling 'Recycling for the Valley' Program
Recycling Time is Year Round! Your participation does make a difference.

Composting
Composting can reduce the amount of waste sent to the landfill by one third.

Household Hazardous Waste Round-up Events
Many products in the home and yard can damage our environment. Dispose of them safely in the Valley’s annual Household Hazardous Waste Round-Up days.

Transfer Station
Solid waste from Carleton County is received at the Southern Valley Transfer Station where it is re-loaded into larger trailers for shipment to landfills.

Waste Disposal
There are no landfills in the Valley Region. Solid waste is transported from a transfer station or transported directly to the landfills.
