In New Brunswick, the Tire Recycling Atlantic Canada Corporation (TRACC) processes old tires. A levy applies to new tires to cover the cost of recycling.

NB disposes of approximately 1,000,000 scrap tires each year.
Win-win situation: tires are being diverted from landfills and made into new products, and people are being employed because of the new jobs this process creates.
All products can be ordered through the Sales Department at TRACC.
Products include:
Roof shingles: Lightweight (1/3 the weight of regular shingles), long-lasting, affordable, resistant to fungal growth, durable, 50 year lifespan, environmentally responsible. Available at Butlers Roofing in Marysville. 
Landscaping mulch: long-lasting, non-fading colors, low maintenance, realistic appearance, 100% recycled. 
Playground surfacing: long-lasting, non-fading colors, low maintenance, safer than gravel, non-toxic, available in bulk. 
Anti-fatigue mats: provide comfort for people who are required to stand in a stationary position for long amounts of time. 
TOUGHLOC mats: designed for hockey arenas, baseball dugouts, factories and walkways to provide comfort. 
Retread and remold tires: new tires are made from old ones, and resold internationally. They are of the highest quality and the most major markets include the Caribbean and Central America. 
Cow beds: large cushions filled with ground up tires that provide cows with comfort while the stand for long amounts of time to be milked.
